Stories have a heartbeat.
The stories that shape our lives are rarely found in the biggest moments.
More often, they’re found in conversations around the kitchen table. The traditions passed from one generation to the next. The quiet acts of love that become part of who we are.
At Between the Lines Creative, I believe every life carries significance — not because it was extraordinary, but because it mattered deeply to the people who lived it and the people who loved it.
A legacy film isn’t simply about preserving memories.
It’s about preserving presence.
Because one day, the people you love won’t wish for another photograph.
They’ll wish they could hear your voice.
Listen to the stories only you could tell.

The Experience

Every story begins with a conversation.
Not an interview. Not a list of questions. A conversation.
One where curiosity matters more than chronology. Where there is space to pause, remember, laugh, cry — and discover things you may have never put into words before.
The moments that matter most rarely arrive when we're trying to impress someone. They arrive when we feel safe enough to simply be.

Something begins to change.
Stories you’ve told for years take on new meaning. Connections appear where you never noticed them before. Old memories become new discoveries.
You begin seeing your own story differently.

Only then do we begin creating your film.
Not simply to document a life, but to preserve a voice. A laugh. A perspective. A way of seeing the world that belongs to one person alone.

One day, someone you love will press play.
They’ll hear a familiar voice. Smile at a laugh they’ve missed. Discover parts of you they never knew.
And for a few precious moments, it will feel like you’re right there with them.
That’s the gift.

Why this Matters to Me
I didn’t fall in love with filmmaking.
I fell in love with the parts of people that are so often hidden. The parts that quietly shape who we are.
There are stories I wish I’d had the chance to hear. Questions I wish I’d thought to ask. I’ve lost people I loved before I truly had the chance to know the fullness of who they were.
And somewhere along the way, I lost a piece of myself too.
Learning to rediscover my own story changed everything.
Now I help others preserve theirs.
This work is about creating a space where people feel safe enough to be fully themselves — the good, the hard, the messy and the joyful.
Because those are the moments that remind us we’re human.
And those are the moments the people we love treasure most.

What happens next?

1. We connect.
2. We talk about the person and the story.
3. We decide together whether a legacy film is the right fit.
4. If it is, we begin prserving their story.
